Bringing people together. We are Zipella

At Zipella, we are passionate about creating high-quality coffee that helps build community strength, support wellbeing, and enrich the lives of Aboriginal people, by donating a portion of our funds to the KARI Foundation.

The reason behind our passion for coffee is because, just like our traditions, it serves as a meaningful bridge that encourages people to gather and talk to each other.

Meet Zip: the driving force behind Zipella

A proud Yuin man from the south coast of New South Wales, Steve Ella, known by many as ‘Zip’, has always had a passion to give back to his community. He realised he could do that through his love for coffee.

With a long and distinguished career in community health, Steve setup Zipella to combine his passion for great tasting coffee and support Aboriginal families and young people who need it.

Together, we support the KARI Foundation

From inception, Zipella has given a proportion of revenue to support KARI’s initiatives and he actively encourages others to do the same. His vision is to help the organisation to further develop programs benefitting Aboriginal people across Australia.

KARI is an organisation that has been in existence for over two decades, and has a dedicated staff of 140. They provide unwavering access to culturally appropriate foster care, and a broad range of other services for Aboriginal people.

Bringing workplaces to life through our partnership with BrewHub

Our long-standing partnership with our client, BrewHub, brings our quality coffee to workplaces across Australia. BrewHub’s clients are enjoying Zipella coffee and in turn, helping to fund programs that helps to build deeper connections for Aboriginal people with their culture and family.
